Point a coin at a charity, once.

You launch on Pons as normal. The one thing that changes is the creator fee recipient: instead of your own wallet, you set the charity’s vault. From that point the coin pays that charity for as long as it trades, and neither you nor we can move it.

There is no way to do this afterwards. Pons keeps two separate creator addresses. Changing the fee recipient on a live coin moves one of them and leaves the other pointing at the original creator forever, which strands the buyback vest. So a coin is bound to a charity at launch or it is never bound at all. If you have already launched, the answer is a new coin, not a change to the old one.

  1. Pick a charity

    Every registered 501(c)(3) in the directory can have a coin launched for it. A charity does not have to have heard of this site first.

    COASTAL DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES FOUNDATION has not verified a payout address, and may not know this site exists. That is allowed and it is how most coins here start. The fees still accrue to their vault and they still belong to them, but they freeze there until somebody from the organisation verifies an address. Nobody can spend, redirect or reclaim them in the meantime, including us and including you. If they never claim, the money stays frozen forever rather than going to anyone else.

    Launch as you normally would, with two settings that are not optional.

    Creator fee recipient
    The vault address from step 2. Paste it. Do not type it, and check the first and last four characters after pasting.
    Buyback: off
    A buyback-enabled launch diverts half of the creator’s share of the base fee into a vest that only the launch-time recipient can ever open. The vault has no way to open one, so that value would be charity money locked up permanently. A coin launched with buyback on cannot be listed here.

    This opens the Pons site rather than their launch form directly. The exact launch path has not been verified from this codebase, so it is not hardcoded here.

  4. Check what you launched

    Paste your pool id and this reads the Pons hook directly. It cannot fix a bad launch. What it can do is tell you now, while relaunching is cheap, instead of when someone tries to list the coin.
